It provides the optimum solution for high performance best-of-breed products. It significantly differentiates us from our competitors, providing agile integration and throughput well in excess of levels achieved using standard database architectures. We use a service-oriented, event-driven architecture, which scales from single-site asset managers up to the largest global players who trade high volumes in multiple locations on a 24x7 basis. We use web services and browser applications where appropriate. All LatentZero components communicate via the LatentZero API, which is published and available to clients. This means that the architecture is truly open, enabling clients to easily integrate in-house systems and packages from third-party vendors. We actively encourage clients to develop their own components and integrate other products, including Microsoft Excel™. This integration has required little or no support from Fidessa. Our data model utilizes a meta-data approach, enabling clients to define and load any data attributes that are required to support front office processes. These data attributes are then available throughout the LatentZero architecture. For example they can be used in the construction of Sentinel rules and are available in Minerva trading blotters. Data loading can be performed while the LatentZero systems are online, with no downtime or performance impact. We have clients in production with interfaces to all of the industry standard back office and data warehouse platforms, including those from Thomson Financial, DST and Sungard, to name a few. All LatentZero server processes integrate with industry-standard support tools such as BMC Patrol and AutoSys, enabling our software to be easily and reliably integrated into existing production support environments.
